Accommodation and Facilities

Accommodation

All new accommodation blocks are being built at Camp Yarramundi to sleep over 400 guests across 6 buildings.

Cabins look out onto ironbark forest, with modular clusters and verandas arranged around outdoor garden rooms in a configuration designed to echo a kangaroo pawprint. Raised boardwalks, native landscaping and environmentally conscious materials are intended to minimise the project’s ecological impact while ensuring a relaxing and accessible stay for all.

A total of six identical clusters make for easy room allocations and feature the following:

  • 3 Suites with ensuites for teachers and organisers with capacity for up to 5 guests
  • 11 Rooms of varied capacity ranging from 5-8 beds for up to 67 guests
  • 5 Interconnecting doors
  • 5 Externally accessed toilets (including accessible facilities)
  • 5 Externally accessed showers (including accessible facilities)
  • Wheelchair accessible Room and Suite included in above details
  • Undercover verandas
  • Landscaped zone for down time
  • Access to one of the two amenity blocks

Accessibility

There are 12 wheelchair accessible rooms onsite (2 per cluster), some are single rooms, some shared rooms. All accessible rooms have space for hoists (not provided) and access to an accessible bathroom.

Raised boardwalks make for smooth pathways to all buildings.
